The Ness Lake Bible Camp Leadership Memorial Scholarship has been created to give donors, family, and friends of those who have passed away a way to honor their memory and build into those now involved at camp and their community.
This fund has been growing over the past 20 years and our board is excited to make scholarships available based on the growth of the investments which allows us to keep awarding this yearly and into the future. Based on the growth of the fund we are excited to hand out four $500 scholarships in 2026. If you would like to donate to this fund or add it to your legacy giving please contact our office.
The Ness Lake Bible Camp Leadership Memorial Scholarship should act as a catalyst and fuel to move emerging Christian leaders forward in their sense of call and use of their giftings. We want to encourage the recipients to engage in training relevant to their call and gifts and also spur on other NLBC team members to consider the same.
Our Ness Lake Bible Camp Mission Statement:
Glorify God by making Jesus Christ known by word and deed through camping and conference programs.
Our One Hope Canada Purpose Statement:
We present the Gospel, particularly to those having the least opportunity to hear of Christ and especially to children and youth, and we disciple believers for living and serving through His Church.
If you don’t meet all criteria, you may still apply.
To apply for the 2026 NLBC Leadership Memorial Scholarship, please fill out this application and submitted by March 31. In addition, you will need 2 references that you have previously used for camp to fill out a short reference by March 31.
Those awarded with the scholarship will hear back in May so that it can be announced for grad ceremonies. Recipients of the scholarship will have their photo placed on the wall in June in recognition of their achievement.
This scholarship is given in addition to their summer team honorarium and fundraising. It does not factor into their cap for total compensation for serving that summer.
You are only eligible to receive it one scholarship and one time.
Scholarships are earned based on merrit where bursaries and honorariums are given based on need and to honour time served. This is not an academic scholarship; it is given to those who have shown Christian witness, leadership, service and sacrifice at camp and beyond.
The scholarships are given out of the growth of a larger investment. The investment is never used or given away, just the yearly growth of that investment is handed out. The more that is donated the more that the investment grows and can give each year.
